Update 5/13/17: I've used these boots in multiple snow storms over the past few years, walking through tons of snow. I truly enjoy these boots and have updated my review below to reflect my experience.____________________________I love these boots! After 2 years without real snow boots I did a ton of research this year and decided on Hi-Tec's. The black ones sold out in my size before I could order them so I sadly got brown instead. I am so satisfied with this color! It's darker than pictured and so pretty! The boots themselves look so fashionable. They're not clunky or screaming snow boot.Fit: I was a little worried after reading the reviews about sizing but the fit is perfect. After I pulled them out of the box I loosened the laces completely and re-tightened them to the fit of my foot.Fashion: These look so nice. They're slimmer than any other pair I've owned, tall, with an added touch of fake fur around the top to really scream "winter!"Ease of use: The zipper on the inside of the boot is an added bonus that makes getting in and out of the boots so easy!Comfort: They are warm and light weight. Walking in them is an absolute dream. I was given thick winter socks that I wear with these with no problem. However, if you're going to wear super, super thick socks, order a size up. I stuck with my size 9 and put them on with regular socks and they fit like a dream. Nice and snug.Waterproof: I have used these for 4 snow seasons and have had no issues with water getting in my boots. I have done nothing additional to waterproof the exteriorCons:None! Can't even complain about the price (when I bought them it was between $65-$75) because they have lasted so long, held up so well, and are a genuine investment.Final thought: They are fantastic! They're tall enough to keep the snow out while walking through high snow banks. They're so snug and warm and keep my feet dry. The best part is they're so light and supportive. It really doesn't feel like I'm wearing snow boots. Best shoe decision I could've made. Highly recommend them.I purchased these shoes for an upcoming winter trip to Colorado. After trying on a 7 (my usual size) in a brick and mortar store and having it be too small, I ordered an 8 through amazon (the store didn't have anything larger than 7 in stock) and while the 8 does fit, it is VERY tight through the calf while the foot section is somewhat roomy, as one would expect for a size larger than typical. In other regards the shoes are quite comfy and seem like they will be warm and dry for winter wear.These shoes are NOT true to size, so order a size or two above what you would normally wear and you should be fine.I wear a size 7 and order this boot in an 8 and it is a little tight. I wanted to be able to put my pant leg inside the boot and it doesn't work like that. Other than that they seem to be okay. They kept my feet warm and dry so I guess they do the job.NICE LOOKING BOOT BUT I ORDERED HALF SIZE LARGER & THEY ARE STILL A BIT TIGHT. ALSO TOO MUCH TO LACING. SIDE ZIPPER IS NICE BUT HARD TO ZIP & THE ZIPPER IN THE RIGHT BOOT HAS STARTED COMING APART ALREADY. THESE ARE REASONABLY PRICED SO I'M NOT TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED.My toes get really cold when I'm outdoors for a long time, but the rest of my foot and lower legs stay warm. They are great on ice since they have that Vibram on the soles. They are waterproof in the snow and rain. I wear them daily at work and my feet don't hurt at the end of the day. I'd replace them with another pair if these wear out. I'm happy that they have a zipper down the inner seam so I don't have to lace them up each day.While I ordered these at a good price, they were so tight I couldn't even zip them over my calf and had to return. Not something you can wear thick socks under, nor wear at all if you have medium/thick calves!I started out with my normal size 7. Those didn't come close to fitting. I got size 8s. While the foot fit fine there was no way I was EVER going to get them to lace and zip. I tried everything cuz I wanted these particular boots SOOOO much. Such a cute boot. I REALLY wanted them and tried everything possible to get them to fit. Just wasn't gonna happen. Heart broken, I SENT THEM BACK AND GAVE UP ON THIS SUPER CUTE BOOT.The first time I wore them they were very comfortable and fits more like a sneaker/boot. I really wanted them in black but the price was over my budget however its worth saving up to get another pair. I wear a size 10 in shoes but for boots I always order one size up and these boots feels great! Great for walking!
