I didn't know what to expect really other than a quilt book that had stories to take you through the blocks. I thought the blocks were going to tie in with the letters somehow but like I said, I didn't know what to expect. I ordered this book along with another similar book called The Farmer's Wife Quilt Sampler. Both are of the same premise - stories/letters along with quilt blocks. I was definitely not disappointed with the book. It would have been nice if it had a cd of the patterns like the other book but that's okay. I do love it for what it is.
